UltiSat Europe A/S Signs Framework Agreement with Danish National Procurement Ltd. (SKI) to Provid eSatellite Communications Services

SKI will Offer Easy Access for Cost-Effective Satellite Services to Danish Government Agencies and Select Nongovernment Organizations

Gaithersburg, MD, USA/Copenhagen, Denmark; October 25th, 2011-- UltiSat Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of UltiSat, Inc., today announced that it has been awarded a sole-source contract by the Danish National Procurement Ltd., Denmark; Statens og Kommunernes Indkøbs Service A/S (SKI) in Copenhagen. This contract allows Danish federal and local government agencies and entities and certain nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to buy satellite communication service more easily and cost effectively. Such services include satellite telephony, data services, equipment, and technical assistance.

“This is a very exciting and important agreement for UltiSat,” said Moe Abutaleb, CEO and president, UltiSat, Inc. “It provides the opportunity for our customers to easily access MSS combination bundles and value-added solutions, in hand with a mechanism to update to the latest satellite networking technology  on a cost-efficient basis.”

Following a public tender that focused on operational stability, reliability, and cost effectiveness, UltiSat Europe’s framework agreement will provide products and services in a manner that results in less administration, an efficient ordering process, and continued certainty on prices, terms, and commercial conditions.

Designed to cover the needs of the Danish Military and its specific communication requirements in the field, this new contract is also relevant to other Danish municipal departments and agencies in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. The agreement is based on a two-year term with options for two additional twelve-month extensions with an expected annual value of approx. DKK 10 million (US$1.8 million).

“We are looking forward to continuing our close cooperation with the Danish Defense, as well as offering our solutions to other governmental, municipal, and local departments and agencies that would benefit from the cost-effective pricing and operationally reliable products and services under the SKI frame agreement,” stated Britt Carina Horncastle, General Manager, UltiSat Europe.
