Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, May 12, 2011 – UltiSat, Inc., a leading provider of managed VSAT networks announced that UltiSat’s president and CEO, M.G. (Moe) Abutaleb, was named 2011 Executive of the Year by the Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), one of the nation’s leading technology trade groups. Along with his partners, Abutaleb founded UltiSat, formerly known as Psi Systems, Inc. (Psi-Sys), 5 years ago and has led the company’s phenomenal growth and expansion. He received the recognition at TCM’s annual awards banquet attended by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, who gave the event’s keynote speech.
TCM’s Executive of the Year recognizes and honors business leaders who have made outstanding contributions to their firm and driven it to succeed through their leadership skills and personal abilities.

Raised and educated in Maryland, Abutaleb went to Parkdale High School in Prince Georges County and received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Maryland, College Park. Abutaleb lives in Potomac, MD, with his wife and three children.
In just three years, UltiSat has grown fourfold in personnel; tripled its customer base; acquired a satellite teleport facility in Denmark; and more than doubled its office space, including the installation of a high-tech help desk and network operations center in its Gaithersburg, MD headquarters facility. UltiSat’s most tangible measure of success though lies in its recent financial accomplishments. Its 2010 US-based revenues increased by more than 100%, its global revenues increased by more than 50%, and its EBITDA is approximately twice the industry norm for its sector.
