A joint program of the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the Custom Satellite Communications Solutions-Small Business (CS2-SB) contract is part of the US federal government's Future Commercial Satellite Communications Services Acquisition (FCSA) program.
GSA and DISA teamed on FCSA in 2009 to minimize the growing prices on satellite services for government agencies, as well as to offer “single-point access for the purchase and delivery of mission-critical services with significant savings for taxpayers. Each of the awards includes a five-year contract period of three base years with two one-year options and a ceiling of $900 million.
